  • I/O No IOM Response
Module not responding to Main Module
→ Possible disconnection or hardware failure

  • Lost Communication Link

→ Often caused by startup changes or loose cables

Key Checks

  • Open Debug View → Look for Error Counters > 0
  • Identify:
    • Affected module
    • MM Port Number
  • Check I/O Modules tab for details

✅ Normal condition: All error counts = 0

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. Check Connections

    • Reseat all RJ45 (Cat5) cables
    • Ensure connections are secure
  2. Replace Module Cable

    • Swap cable to affected module
  3. Replace PC Cable

    • Try new cross-over cable
  4. Replace I/O Module

    • If errors persist
  5. Replace Main Module (Last Resort)

Escalation

If unresolved:

  • Capture screenshots (during alarm)
  • Gather error details + files
  • Document issue and actions taken
  • Send to Technical Support

Notes

  • Cat5 cables provide both power and communication
