Watlow F 4 T Export and Import of the control configuration file via USB memory drive.

It is recommended that the configuration file for the Watlow F 4 T control be saved as a back-up in case something happens to the controller, and it needs to be replaced.

This video will cover the procedure to export the controller configuration file to a USB memory drive, and the procedure to import a configuration file back into the controller.

Exporting or saving the configuration file from the F 4 T controller to a USB memory drive:

Start by inserting a suitable USB memory drive into the USB port on the oven control panel, or into one of the USB ports on the back of the Watlow F 4 T controller.

From the home screen, press menu.

Then press File Transfer.

Your USB memory drive should be shown on the File Transfer page.

Press Export, and you will get a screen showing what type of files you can export from the controller.

To export the configuration file, press Configuration.

A copy of the controller configuration file will be saved on the USB Memory drive.  

The file name will be the device name .wsi

When the display says Complete, press Hide.

Then press the home icon.

The USB Memory drive can now be removed, and the file saved to a suitable back- up location.

Importing or restoring a configuration file into the Watlow F 4 T controller from a USB memory drive.

Insert the USB memory drive containing the .wsi configuration file into the USB port on the control panel, or into one of the USB ports on the back of the controller.

Like exporting the file, press Menu, then press File Transfer.

To load the file into the controller, press Import, then press Configuration.

Select the .wsi file.

It will take a couple minutes to transfer the file into the controller.

Do not remove the USB memory drive during this process.

After the file transfer is completed, the controller will automatically reboot.

It will take a minute or two for the controller to restart.  Do not turn off the power to the controller during the reboot, restart process.

When the home screen returns, the controller will be back to the saved configuration.
